New Insights on LNP Analytics in Marama Labs Technology Webinar

Marama Labs is hosting a science-led webinar showcasing advances in the analytical characterisation of lipid nanoparticle (LNP) therapeutics – a rapidly evolving area underpinning RNA delivery, gene therapies, and next-generation biologics.
The session will highlight how Marama Labs’ patented Scatter-FreeAbsorption Spectroscopy (SFA) and its CloudSpec instrument are redefining analytical workflows for complex nanoparticle formulations. By removing light-scattering artefacts that compromise conventional UV/Vis assays, SFA enables direct, rapid, and reproducible quantification of RNA, ligands and other payloads in intact nanoparticles - without dyes, disruption, or extensive sample preparation.
The webinar brings together two recognised leaders in their fields:
- Dr Piotr S. Kowalski, Associate Professor at University College Cork, is a prominent researcher in nucleic-acid delivery and nanomedicine. He will present work from the recent Analytical Chemistry paper, “Scatter-Free UV-Visible Spectroscopy for Accurate and Precise RNA Quantification in Complex RNA Nanoparticle Formulations,” which describes how SFA overcomes the limitations of Ribogreen for formulations that resist lysis.
- Prof. Eric C. Le Ru, Marama Labs Co-Founder and CSO, is internationally respected for his contributions to nano-optics and advanced spectroscopy. He will present the first-ever deep dive on the physics of CloudSpec and how Scatter-Free Absorbance can quantify antibodies and mRNA in LNPs in just 15 seconds.
Their combined expertise spans cutting-edge optical science and translational nanoparticle therapeutics, offering attendees high-value insights into how modern analytical technologies are supporting the developmentof more accurate, scalable, and robust LNP characterisation.
Registration is open to scientists and developers working in RNA therapeutics, formulation, and analytical innovation.
